Sandro Giordano is an Italian photographer—but not an ordinary one. What makes his art unique is the deeply personal motivation that traces back to his childhood. Sandro is inspired by falls. As a child, he experienced a funny fall that left a strong impression on him. That moment stayed with him, and later led him to create a series of photographs that stage and capture the drama and humor of falling scenes.
His inspiration comes from everyday accidents—especially the moments when people trip or fall in a clumsy way.

He started this unique project after he fell off his bike in a funny way. Since then, he began to create scenes that show what it looks like right after someone has fallen, surrounded by objects flying everywhere. These scenes make people laugh and are carefully planned to look like real-life accidents.
Giordano sets up every little detail in his photos with great care. He works with different models—even his mother helped once! What makes his work special is how real and funny the scenes feel. Most of his models are women, which might suggest that women pay more attention to detail or carry more things, making the falls look more dramatic and interesting.

At first, people laugh when they see his photos—and that’s exactly what Sandro wants. But after that, you start to notice the creative ideas behind each photo. Some of his work even makes us think about how much women deal with in daily life. A man's fall might be simpler and less detailed—but not as funny.
Thanks to his fresh ideas and original style, Giordano’s work has become popular not just in Italy, but across Europe. His exhibitions are full of people laughing and enjoying the playful scenes.
His mission is simple: to make us laugh—and he’s doing it very well.
