The Busan International Art Fair (BIAF) Organizing Committee proudly announces that submissions for BIAF2026 are now officially open. Artists from around the world are invited to become part of an international celebration of creativity, innovation, and cultural dialogue that will take place during the first week of November at the prestigious Busan City Hall Gallery in South Korea.
BIAF2026 welcomes both emerging and established artists, as well as talented young creators eager to present their vision on a global stage. This international platform offers participants the opportunity to exhibit their work before an international audience, connect with curators and fellow artists, and compete for distinguished awards and recognitions.
One of the defining aspects of BIAF2026 is its commitment to accessibility and global participation. Although the exhibition itself will be held physically and in person at the City Hall Gallery, artists are not required to ship original works. All submissions are made digitally, after which the BIAF Organizing Committee will professionally print, mount, and physically display selected artworks at no cost to participating artists.
Categories for Submission
BIAF2026 celebrates artistic diversity and encourages submissions across a broad range of mediums and styles, including painting, sculpture, digital art, photography, calligraphy, graphic design, and children’s painting.
Painting submissions may include oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, and traditional East Asian ink painting. Sculpture entries are open to works created in stone, metal, wood, clay, or recycled contemporary materials. Digital artists are invited to submit digital paintings, vector illustrations, generative artworks, and creative coding projects.
Photography submissions may range from fine art and conceptual portraiture to documentary and landscape photography. The fair also welcomes traditional and contemporary calligraphy works, alongside innovative graphic design projects such as poster art, typography, branding concepts, and visual communication.
A special category is dedicated entirely to young creators between the ages of 5 and 18 through the International Kids Art Competition, encouraging children to freely express their imagination and creativity.
Featured Events at BIAF2026
Artists participating in BIAF2026 will automatically be considered for inclusion in several major programs and competitions hosted within the fair.
The International Contemporary Art Competition highlights expressive, experimental, and thought-provoking contemporary works from around the globe. The International Graphic Design Competition recognizes innovation and excellence in visual storytelling and design communication.
Young artists will have the opportunity to participate in the International Kids Art Competition, while professionals and audiences alike can engage in discussions and cultural exchange through the International Art Forum, a symposium featuring talks and panels with internationally recognized artists, curators, and art professionals.
Certificates and Awards
All participating artists will receive an official digital certificate of participation co-signed and endorsed by Tongmyong University and the Busan City Hall. In addition, selected winners in each category will receive prestigious official award certificates recognizing their artistic achievement and contribution.
Submission Guidelines
To ensure fairness and maintain high exhibition standards, artists are asked to carefully follow the official submission guidelines.

All works will undergo a blind-review selection process conducted by an international panel of judges before final exhibition and competition placement.
To maintain an inclusive and respectful environment suitable for all audiences, artworks containing explicit political, religious, or adult themes, including nudity, will not be accepted.
